Career and Technical Training
The Citrus County School District offers a variety of career and technical opportunities designed to prepare students for future careers. Citrus County School District offers ten different career clusters that encompass twenty-three different technical pathways. In their eighth-grade year, students may apply to special Career and Technical Academies located within our three high schools that address four different career clusters. Once in high school, students are also afforded the opportunity to apply to Withlacoochee Technical College where they can earn post-secondary credit while participating in our Dual Enrollment programs.
Crystal River High School Sports
Engaging in school sports offers a wealth of benefits that go far beyond physical fitness. Student-athletes learn invaluable life skills such as discipline, time management, and teamwork as they juggle practices, games, and academic commitments. Sports provide a platform for developing leadership, resilience, and communication skills, which are crucial for success both on and off the field. By working towards a common goal with teammates and coaches, students build strong relationships, boost their self-confidence, and learn how to handle pressure and adversity. These experiences create a foundation for a healthy lifestyle and personal growth that can last a lifetime.
