A Message from the Principal

Welcome to Crystal River High School, home of the Pirates! At CRHS, we take great pride in our traditions, our academic excellence, and the strong sense of community that defines who we are. Each day, our students chart their own course toward success—whether through academics, the arts, athletics, or service to others.

As Pirates, we are committed to supporting one another, embracing challenges, and celebrating victories, both big and small. I am honored to work alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and hardworking students as we continue to build a culture of pride, respect, and achievement.

Together, we will make this year one filled with growth, opportunity, and memories that will last a lifetime. Go Pirates!

Phillip McLeod, Principal

A safe and caring environment is essential for the learning and well-being of all individuals. Individuals and organizations are accountable for their behaviors and actions. High expectations and challenging standards promote continuous improvement and high achievement. All individuals can learn at different times, in different ways, and at different rates. Mutual respect is a keystone of learning. Recognition promotes higher accomplishment and self-esteem. Community involvement and teamwork are critical elements in a high-performing school. We embrace the diversity of individuals, ideas, talents, and learning styles. High-quality education demands innovation and risk. The balance of academics and extracurricular activities is essential for a well-rounded education. Students require discipline and direction in order to be successful learners. Open and honest communication is essential to effective human interaction. Lifelong learning improves the quality of life.
