9th Grade

Cookies and Cram - Link Crew will be hosting a Cookies & Cram Event to help freshmen prepare for their exams. This will take place on Tuesday, December 17th from 3-5pm in the cafeteria (come for the whole thing or stay for a little while). Link Crew Leaders will be providing tutoring for all freshmen subject areas. There will be no transportation for this event, so please make arrangements early. Students will need to provide their own study materials for this – so bring your iPad, review sheets, etc. We will also have COOKIES to help ease the anxiety of exams! Students need to sign up on or before 12/13 for this event.

Pirates Cove - Homeroom teachers, please take a moment and ask students to look at a new icon added to their iPad Home screens. It is a picture of a Pirate. This icon is linked to a Pirate Cove Google form. Now students can privately contact Mrs. Kennedy about any supplies they need from Pirate Cove if they are unable to visit Pirate Cove in person.

IPAD Checks – Please have your students check their IPads.  We have a lot of students walking around with cracked screens and they need to be turned in for repair. If the students have insurance then they need to go online to their Seccuranty account and file a claim to get it repaired. Loaner iPads are available to use while students are waiting for their iPad to be repaired.

WTC Information Session - We will host a “Pick A Program” Information Session on Thursday, December 5th from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pmPlease note this is NOT an Open House.  It is a separate event.  How is it different from Open House?  Visitors choose one program and spend about an hour visiting the shop and classroom, meet the instructor, and get a chance to learn more in-depth about the program.  For this evening event only, WTC will waive the $30 registration fee if a potential student completes all requirements for registration for a program starting in January 2020 (pending seat availability) by 3:00 pm on December 20th, 2019.  Registration fees apply only to post-secondary students.  You might know of a former student who might benefit from this information, or one who plans to graduate in May 2020 and  does not have plans in place post-graduation.  Financial Aid is available for most programs to post-secondary students who qualify.
